Call for contributions: "Translating (into) Arabic"



Dear colleagues,
Contributions are invited for a multi-authored book on Translating (into) Arabic.  This volume is intended to offer a collection of chapters that address translation in the Arab World, translating from and into Arabic, teaching translation from and into Arabic, with a special focus on new fields of study and professional practice, new lines of research, and innovative teaching approaches and resources. Proposed contributions are expected to fall under one of the following headings:

  • New research trends in Arabic translation studies
  • New fields and settings for translation and interpreting professional practice in the Arab World
  • Developing new learning resources for the Arabic translation classroom
  • E-learning, blended learning and Arabic translation
  • Innovative approaches to teaching translation from/into Arabic
