Institute for Minority Studies and Inclusive Social Action (IMSISA) is happy to announce an international conference on "Development, Empowerment and Human Rights: Internal and External Challenges for Indian Muslims" organized in connection with the Fourth Shihab Thangal Memorial Lecture at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. This edition falls in line with the conference we organized last year titled "Development, Empowerment and Human Rights: Perspectives on Muslims in Post-colonial India." As a continuation, the present emphasis is on the challenges that Indian Muslims are facing in contemporary India depriving them of many developmental initiatives, empowerment programs and human-rights activities.
Please find the attached Call for Papers, submit your abstracts, and share with your colleagues who may find this up to their research-interests.
Best,
Mahmood Kooria
